“"The best way to take care of the future is to take care of the present moment."
Thich Nhat Hanh

Why should you join a Regen Retreat?

While honouring the systems of the past, we recognise the urgent need for a paradigm shift, in this era of great change and uncertainty. New ways of being and doing require new forms of leadership. Our retreats provide leaders a safe space to lean into the challenges they face, and discover their personal agency to catalyse systems change.

Join an intimate peer group to translate the theories of regenerative economics into engaged practice. Regen Retreats accelerate your understanding of a practical, living systems framework, through immersive, experiential learning. Collectively we gain confidence and clarity to model  the leadership the world, our organisations and our communities, require from us. Post retreat you will join our growing community of practice and continue unlocking your potential, guided and supported by the collective wisdom of the ecosystem .

Situational context for our retreats

The global economic system, intended for growth and prosperity, was successful in the short term. But the longer term impacts of this design have now become clear. People the world over are living the consequences.  Humanity faces a global uncertainty that is challenging our sense of safety and control. 'Business as usual' is no longer fit for purpose.
But the laws of living systems, of which we and our economy are a part, dictate that when old structures break down, they clear the way for the new. Let us be ready and prepared with new ways of thinking, being and doing.

The future of humanity urgently requires the full attention, mobilisation and radical collaboration of business, policy and finance. And as the world changes, so must we. As citizens and leaders, we must adapt, be agile, innovative and responsive. We may need to unlearn what no longer serves us, and relearn new ways of being, if we are to leave a legacy that will better serve generations to come.

The future demands a regenerative economy where all life can thrive.  Join us to explore what this means, and how you can unlock your true leadership potential - and the long term resilience, health and wealth of your organisations and communities.

"This world is changing enormously. In any position in a company you need to work very hard on learning new skills everyday. But you also need to unlearn some of the old skills from the past”

Paul Polman (founder of Imagine, former Unilever CEO)

Our Inspiration and the 8 Princples

Many of the world's financiers, philosophers, scientists and academics have dedicated themselves to understanding what is required to transition away from our systemic risks, and to rebuild global resilience and wellbeing. Through their deep understanding of Nature and how life works, they have defined the Principles by which we can govern a safe and prosperous future.  These principles emerged from the laws of living systems - which inherently strive to thrive.  Regen Retreats was established to bring ambitious and curious leaders into touch with these Principles through collective enquiry and practical implementation.

Our source of inspiration are the 8 first Principles of regenerative economics, defined by our teacher and partner, John Fullerton, founder of the Capital Institute.  As we continue our learning journey through John's work, we honour and promote the diverse thinkers and leaders who continue to inspire and guide his journey - and ours.

Apply now  to join our upcoming cohort of leaders curious to build their capacity to manage complexity in this rapidly changing world.

Our Retreats

Regen Retreats provide a unique opportunity for senior leaders to nourish their relationship with themselves, with others and with the wider world. Through immersive, experiential learning, and the real world application of regenerative principles, we enhance our capacity to lead more resilient, adaptive and responsive organisations. To courageously and creatively navigate eternal complexity in this rapidly changing world.

Our Story

Its founders, from Greece and the UK, met whilst under the tuition of John Fullerton and the Capital Institute, and were inspired to create Regen Retreats.  They wished to demonstrate the impact of translating regenerative economic theory into practice. Together with John, who became a partner, we hosted the inaugural retreat in 2024 in Andros island, whose rich cultural and economic history, provides a perfect canvas upon which to co-create blueprints for socio-economic regeneration.  Hear from past participants.

About
Final Regen logo designs (1)_edited.png

Regen Retreats is the 'regenerative activation' arm of Intaconnected, in partnership with the Capital Institute and Proteus Social Innovation and Development.

Regen Retreats aims to inspire and enable senior leaders to dedicate intentional time for their own reconnection. Through deep exploration, mindful enquiry, and experiential learning, we reawaken our wisdom. We co-create safe, discreet spaces to help one another reflect upon, and understand, the impacts of our business decisions with greater awareness and consciousness, so that we may collectively find a path to a more abundant, equitable and safe future where all life will thrive.

Whilst serving and supporting the leaders we welcome, Regen Retreats also cycles this wisdom back to our host destinations. As we develop new ways of thinking, being and doing, our cohorts bring living systems principles to life, observing their presence in the destinations we visit. Upon our return, we practice integrating them into our own contexts. Accelerated, immersive, collaborative learning... for life!
